David has concurrently held both law and CPA licenses for over 30 years.   

David’s practice focuses on estate planning, probating wills, trust creation/administration, probate avoidance, federal transfer tax planning and related topics.  He assists high net worth clients with sophisticated tax planning through the formation of trusts, private foundations, gifting strategies, and other generational wealth transfer techniques.  David also assists clients with incapacity planning, special needs planning, and premarital/postnuptial agreements. He represents individuals, corporate trustees, financial institutions and charities in various trust and estate related matters.  David also assists clients with various business transactions including entity formation, business succession, real estate transactions, buy/sell agreements, and asset protection structures.

David is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Tax Court and all state and local courts in Texas. In addition to his law practice at PRDG, David is also a member of the practicing faculty at St Mary’s University School of Law and has taught estate planning/trust law for over a decade. 

In his personal time, David enjoys watching college football, fishing and spending time in the Texas Hill Country.
