Don engages in an active civil litigation practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of practice areas including commercial litigation, construction litigation, real estate litigation and oil and gas litigation. Don’s works diligently to instill both trust and confidence in his clients that their desired results will be timely and effectively accomplished.
Don is a Senior Shareholder with the law firm of Porter, Rogers, Dahlman & Gordon, P.C. in Corpus Christi, Texas. Don prides himself in being the member of a team of capable lawyers who are proven leaders, both in the community and in their respective practice areas.
Don is past president of the Corpus Christi Bar Association and currently serves its’ Board of Directors. Don additionally served several elected terms as the District Representative of the Texas Young Lawyers Association and occupies an advisory role in the Texas A&M University College of Liberal Arts Development Council. Don is an active participant in the Texas A&M Association of Former Students, the Texas Aggie Bar Association and the 12th Man Association. Don is also a member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Texas Bar Foundation.
A former student of Texas A&M University, Don graduated with honors after earning dual bachelor of arts degrees in History and Physical Anthropology. He subsequently obtained a doctor of jurisprudence from the University of Houston in 2001 and was licensed to practice law the same year.
Don is a committed conservationist, actively participating in various local and national groups who actively support the enhancement and preservation of our collective wildlife, fisheries and broader natural resources. Don relishes the opportunity to travel and pursue valuable time outdoors, whether hunting, flyfishing, camping, hiking, skiing or by participating directly in habitat enhancement and restoration projects. Don and his family are proud to call Corpus Christi his home.
